Crash!!!

I'm not sure if you have had the joy of all your hard work being threatened. But I can assure you that it is quite a fucking ride. It would be great, and grand to just have that careless easygoing approach to all the unfortunate things that happen in life, but I am not there at this time. What happened? Well, my computer crashed and I lost who knows how many hours of work, and over $1,400 in money spent on what is no more. I had a virus infection some time back and just medicated it with AVG and whatnot assuming that I was fine, but obviously that was a fantasy.

It all went down when the blue screen took over my monitor and left me like a child in the basement, scared and anticipating the worst. It was what I was afraid of. After the initial stomach drop, I attempted to service my problem but ended up with dead ends from all angles. I worked with an obsession for 6 days and 5 nights to get this computer in good standing and it finally as of last night at 3am was up and running. I did not spend a dime in the process.

Being in the middle of so much work and progress this really caught me off guard. looking back in hindsight I would do things differently, but I learned a great deal in the process. Even though i lost a lot, I gained a lot of technical knowledge, and my system is much more stable, and organized. One bit of advice i would give, is to make sure that you have your important stuff backed up and that you take care of viruses caught early on. DO NOT procrastinate unless you have nothing to lose.

In regards to the careless approach that some would say that is the best way to handle tings, I must say, that if it was not for my passion and sheer determination to not lose EVERYTHING, I would not have what I still have. Many would have lost it all.
